SUMMARY:Delmarva Collaborative Funding Forum: National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Program Overview
DESCRIPTION:The Delmarva Land and Litter Collaborative invites you to join a conversation with Jake Reilly\, Director of Chesapeake Bay Programs at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). This virtual session will provide an overview of current and upcoming NFWF funding opportunities\, with a focus on the Innovative Nutrient and Sediment Reduction (INSR) and Chesapeake Small Watershed Grants (SWG) programs.  \nThis session will create space for discussion and idea-sharing among agricultural conservation and habitat restoration partners on Delmarva\, so that partners in our region will be more competitive and more effective at securing funds and delivering conservation projects to Delmarva. \nRegister for the virtual session on January 26\, 2026 at 12:00pm. SUMMARY:Delmarva Conservation Funders Forum
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the second annual Delmarva Conservation Funders Forum! Last year’s event stimulated new ideas and partnerships. The goal of this workshop is to have direct conversation with funders and enhance coordination for agriculture conservation implementation projects to improve water quality on Delmarva. \n\nHear from and engage with representatives from funding agencies.\nShare ideas\, identify partners\, enhance your proposals.\n\nAudience: Groups on Delmarva who are considering applying for NFWF or NRCS/USDA funding. \nRegister in advance for this meeting: \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYpfu6grj0iGtD4pgGwi1ugei9Q7E8pQsDz\nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.\nSpeakers: \nJake Reilly (Director of Chesapeake Bay Program at NFWF) \nLeon Tillman (Chesapeake Bay Coordinator\, USDA-NRCS) \nStephanie Heidbreder (Director of Delaware River Program at NFWF) \nResource links: \nThe National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF)\, in partnership with the U.S Fish & Wildlife Service\, is soliciting proposals through the Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund (DWCF) to conserve\, restore\, and connect people with fish and wildlife habitat in the Delaware River watershed. The DWCF will award matching grants of $75\,000 to $1\,500\,000 each to conserve\, restore\, and protect habitats on public and private land\, across rural\, urban\, and Tribal areas\, that contribute to the overall health of the Delaware River watershed—as well as benefit the quality of life and economic vitality of the communities in the Delaware River watershed. Approximately $14.4 million in grant funding is available. Major funding for the DWCF is provided by the U.S Fish & Wildlife Service with additional funding from AstraZeneca. Proposals are due on March 16th\, 2023.  \nNFWF is soliciting proposals under two distinct programs through this request. Through the Small Watershed Grants (SWG) Program\, delivered in partnership with EPA and the CBP partnership\, NFWF is soliciting proposals for projects within the Chesapeake Bay watershed that promote voluntary\, community-based efforts to protect and restore the diverse and vital habitats of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers and streams. Through the Chesapeake Watershed Investments for Landscape Defense Grants (WILD) Program\, delivered in partnership with FWS\, NFWF is soliciting proposals for projects that conserve\, steward\, and enhance fish and wildlife habitats and related conservation values in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Proposals are due on April 20th\, 2023. \nThe National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF)\, in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)\, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)\, and the federal-state Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) partnership\, is soliciting proposals through the Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund to protect and restore water quality and habitats of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers and streams. \nUSDA-NRCS Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) is a competitive program that supports the development of new tools\, approaches\, practices\, and technologies to further natural resource conservation on private lands. \nUSDA-NRCS Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) is a partner-driven approach to conservation that funds solutions to natural resource challenges on agricultural land.
